Palm Coast & Flagler County Real Estate Outlook For 2010

I am often asked what I think will happen over the next year in Real Estate in the area. We all wish we had a crystal ball to see into the future. This is especially true in the Real Estate word over the last few years. The only thing we can do is look at the data, activities, and trends to get a perspective on the upcoming year. At the beginning of this year I had said it would be an interesting year for Real Estate in the area. It's no secret that Real Estate has had it's challenges in the area over the last few years, but this year has shown some great positives.

Every builder and home buyer knows the importance of the foundation in construction. In fact, builders 200 years ago knew the importance as well and is the reason some of those houses are still standing today. The foundation has to support a lot of things placed on top of it and also be able to accomodate future expansion. A house with a poorly laid foundation will eventually cause the whole house to come crashing down. The same is true for every business.

Media companies have always lived off of advertising dollars. The only way to get others to pay for those ad slots has been based upon one thing . . . number of viewers. The more you get, the more you can charge.

I read a great article this morning by Donna Harris, a Realtor with ReMax Austin Skyline, entitled “Real Estate Opinions – Is it the Pricing or the Marketing?“. In the article, Donna does an excellent job highlighting two scenarios of properties that have yet to be sold.
